ダイレクトアタッチケーブル (DAC)
ダイレクトアタッチケーブル(DAC)は、データセンター内の配線に使われる光ファイバケーブルと同じ規格のコネクタを使い、ケーブルに銅線を使ったものです。
スイッチからサーバなど短い距離の配線であれば、高価な光ファイバケーブルを置き換えることができます。

DAC cables use connectors of the same standard as optical fiber cables used for data center wiring, and use copper wire for the cable. It can replace expensive fiber optic cables for short wiring distances, such as from switches to servers.
